It was founded in 1971 by Kajetan Grudziński and gathers historical objects from east cloisters, which were lost during the Second World War. The premises of the Museum have been recently widened in order to accommodate a large collection of paintings, sculptures and artistic craft works. The museum constitutes an integral part of the monuments complex which consist of the Monastery build in years 1618-1628, cloister with surroundings, that is: bastilles, courtyard, defensive walls and forests.
