Countrywide Folklore Violinists Meeting “Maj-Danówka’

It is a recurrent event in the form of competition. The oldest folklore violinists along with the youngest ones who have just started learning how to play the violin take part in the contest. Each year more and more musicians are rewarded with the membership card of Stowarzyszenie Folklorystyczne „Majdaniarze”. The main aim of the meeting is to popularize folklore music chiefly among the young generation, as well as presentation of the rich folklore music oeuvre.
